Why We Built This Site

Texas permits public access to many records, yet the access path changes with the record. TCSO maintains county booking and incarceration material. The District Clerk keeps Travis County felony files, while the County Clerk holds Class A and B misdemeanor cases and appealed Class C matters. City police departments retain their own incident reports. Texas DPS operates the statewide criminal-history repository, and TDCJ offender information supplies state custody routes.
